Terms of Use for The Starlight Guide Effective Date: October 26, 2023 

 

1. Acceptance of Terms By accessing and using the website The Starlight Guide, and by utilizing the remote Reiki healing services provided by The Starlight Guide ("we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use our website or services. 

 

2. Description of Services The Starlight Guide provides remote Reiki healing sessions. These sessions are intended to promote relaxation and well-being and are not a substitute for professional medical advice or treatment. 

 

3. Disclaimer Reiki is a complementary healing modality and should not be used as a replacement for diagnosis or treatment from a qualified medical professional. You acknowledge that Reiki is not a substitute for medical care and that you should consult with your healthcare provider for any medical concerns. We make no representations or warranties regarding the effectiveness of Reiki. Results may vary.

4. **Sessions Involving Children:** "For Reiki sessions involving individuals under the age of 18, the express and verifiable consent of a parent or legal guardian is required. The parent or guardian must be present (either physically or virtually, as applicable) during the session or have explicitly agreed to the session being performed remotely without their direct presence. By requesting a session for a minor, you represent and warrant that you are the parent or legal guardian and that you have the authority to consent to the session." "The guardian is responsible for the child's well being and will be responsible for the childs reactions to the reiki session." "The practitioner retains the right to refuse service if they feel the child is in danger, or if the guardian is not acting in the best interest of the child." 

 

**Sessions Involving Animals:** "For Reiki sessions involving animals, the express and verifiable consent of the animal's owner or legal guardian is required. By requesting a session for an animal, you represent and warrant that you are the owner or legal guardian and that you have the authority to consent to the session." "The owner is responsible for the animals well being and will be responsible for the animals reactions to the reiki session." "The practitioner retains the right to refuse service if they feel the animal is in danger, or if the guardian is not acting in the best interest of the animal." "Reiki is not a substitute for veterinary care. If your animal is experiencing health issues, please consult with a licensed veterinarian."

 

5. User Responsibilities * You must provide accurate and complete information when booking a session. * You are responsible for ensuring a quiet and comfortable environment for your remote Reiki session. * You agree to adhere to scheduled appointment times. * You understand that the reiki provided is not a substitute for medical care. 

 

6. Payment and Cancellation * Payment for services is due at the time of booking. *

Our cancellation policy requires a notice of at least 48 hours for any changes or cancellations to your scheduled remote Reiki healing appointment. If cancellation occurs after this 24-hour window, the full fee for the session will be charged. Please bear in mind that distant Reiki healing can be done while you are at home, out and about, or whilst taking care of a difficult situation.

We could skip the video call or phone call of your online Reiki session and focus on the treatment only. In fact, remote Reiki healing can provide additional support during such times.

We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule sessions due to unforeseen circumstances. We will provide reasonable notice and offer a refund or reschedule.

7. Intellectual Property All content on this website, including text, graphics, logos, and images, is the property of The Starlight Guide and is protected by copyright laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or modify any content without our express written permission.

8. Limitation of Liability To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Starlight Guide shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of our website or services.

9. Governing Law These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of NC/USA. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Asheville, NC.

10. Changes to Terms We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the updated Terms on this page. Your continued use of our website or services after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
